Introduction
Port Macquarie Community College (PMCC) is a Registered Training Organisation (RTO number 90315) registered with the Australian Skills Quality Authority.
PMCC is proud to offer training in the unit of competency HLTAID003 Provide first aid as nationally recognised training.
Course Description
The aim of this course is to provide the necessary skills and knowledge to sustain life, reduce pain and minimise the consequences of injury or sudden illness until professional help arrives.
On successful completion of the course you will be able to:
  • Respond to an emergency situation
  • Perform CPR procedures
  • Communicate details of the incident
  • Apply appropriate first aid procedures
  • Evaluate the incident and own performance
If successful you will receive a Statement of Attainment from Port Macquarie Community College RTO 90315. First Aiders should attend training on a regular basis to refresh their first aid knowledge and skills and to confirm their competence to provide first aid. Refresher training in CPR should be undertaken annually and first aid qualification should be renewed every three years.

Food Hygiene & Safety

This course meets Food Safety Program requirements and covers safe food handling and safe storage, effective use of detergents and sanitisers, waste and pest control. It also includes an overview of how the food safety legislation affects you. Statement of Attainment SITXFSA001 - Use hygienic practices for food safety.

Introduction

Course Description
The General Construction Induction course is a mandatory entry level program for the building and construction industry. The course focuses on how to work safely and effectively on a job site or construction environment. Suitable candidates for this course are those looking to work in the construction industry in NSW or are required to enter a construction work site as part of their existing or potential job role.
If successful you will receive a Statement of Attainment from Port Macquarie Community College RTO 90315.
 
Mode of Delivery
Delivery of this course will be trainer led and delivered over one day, face-to-face training in a classroom setting.

Responsible Service of Alcohol

It is a requirement that anyone who sells, serves or supplies alcohol in NSW holds a current RSA Certificate. Statement of Attainment SITHFAB002 - Provide responsible service of alcohol. OLGR Approved (includes photocard)

In addition, we will cover "Difficult Conversations" this additional segment that will tackle one of the most challenging aspects of the role – how to refuse service or diffuse poor behaviour.

This Program is currently also available in a virtual classroom. Students will require an internet connection, computer or laptop with a webcam, or other digital device such as a smartphone or tablet. 

Please contact the college prior to enrolment should you require a face to face or other option.
